Primrose Bakery — cupcakes in Primrose Hill

         If cupcakes are your cup of tea (and who doesn’t love a cupcake right?) then no visit to Primrose Hill is complete without a quick trip to the cutest cafe on the block. We find it almost impossible to walk by its cheerful yellow facade without popping in for a small treat.

Primrose Bakery began life in 2004 when friends Martha Swift and Lisa Thomas started selling homemade cakes at popular local deli Melrose and Morgan. Their beautifully decorated, light and fluffy cupcakes proved to be an instant hit with the Primrose Hill residents and after opening their first bakery across the road on Gloucester Avenue they have since expanded to two other stores in London’s bustling Covent Garden and Kensington High Street.

The bakery prides itself on creating proper old-fashioned cakes made with high quality ingredients. Flavours range from traditional chocolate or vanilla to speciality cakes such as Jaffa cake flavour, cookies and cream and salted caramel. As well as cupcakes the bakery also takes orders for special occasion cakes, which can be delivered to you on the day.  These show stopping creations look and taste incredible and are guaranteed to steal the show at any party.
