This attractive city has a little bit of everything for everyone: hikes around the surrounding mountains and hills, visit attractions in the city, or long walks on the beach. Even though most people are inclined towards one or another, you can’t miss visiting the Barceloneta. Although this may not be the most beautiful beach on the Mediterranean coastline, it is still very impressive having the city and the mountains as a backdrop, and in front the sea with all the sailboats dancing in the wind.
What is also great about the beach here is that there are a few play points for kids (rope castles to climb), and you can also find an outdoor gym for the workout enthusiast.
Keep in mind though that it is rarely very hot here which makes it very pleasant, but also easy to get a sunburn with the breeze! Something else to be aware of is that even though it is easy to get distracted this is still a city with petty crime, and crime of opportunity, so make sure to keep your valuables with you.
