As we know well, not all shops were created equal, and what makes Lovely Kids special, apart from having a lovely selection of toys, is that they also do a lot of charity work, and donate many toys to kids hospitals.
Lovely Kids have four shops in Barcelona, and each time we pass in front of one of them my little girl sits up in her chair points at the shop and starts says there there there, (she is only 16months so monosyllables do the job). The funny thing is I don´t buy her many toys but her grandmother can not resist this shop, and so Petra knows it well. They can spend hours inside and the shops aren´t even that big, but Petra runs from one toy to the next trying to figure out which one she wants most.
Speaking to one of the shop assistants who happened to be a good friend of the couple that started it, she said to me that what she liked most about her job, and what made the couple want to start these shops is that they bring so much joy to kids and they get to see it first hand in their shops every day when a family walks in with their kids. This is also why they do so much charity work and make so many donations.
The selection of toys they have makes it difficult to chose what you want to buy. Most of the toys they have are wooden, and they have an amazing selection of kids musical instruments (my weak point).
