If you are wandering through the 6th arrondissement of Paris you will find a great deal of shopping options for your kids, and Marie Puce is one of the shops you definitely don’t want to miss! The shop is little so keep your eyes open: you won’t be disappointed!

With three children each and a background in marketing, sisters Anne Thin and Camille Rey started their kids clothing brand 13 years ago. Although the brand already has a strong history, the sisters wished to keep their business small and downsized to only one physical boutique (plus their online shop) in order to maintain high quality standards and stay personally focused and very involved. The website is translated to english though and will soon be available in chinese and japanese as well, as the sisters wish to offer their online selection worldwide.

I had the pleasure of meeting sweet Anne in their super cute Parisian boutique on rue du Cherche-Midi. She showed me around and explained the focal point of all Marie Puce’s collections is a selection of beautiful Liberty of London fabrics. Once these fabric are chosen, the collection evolves around them and everything falls right into place. The girls have tried working with other patterned fabrics in the past but always ended up with Liberty’s beautiful prints in the end, as their quality and motives are just so beautiful and unique. Most of the prints are used in girls and women clothes but it is not rare to find a few pieces of the boys’ collection in Liberty prints as well. I think it is not easy to get little boys to wear flower prints but the ones Anne and Camille choose for boys shirts really look great.

Marie Puce’s collection starts with size 3 months and goes up to size 12 years and some of the clothes are even available in adult sizes S, M and L for a beautiful mother-daughter matching look. Since each collection is based on a selection of Liberty fabrics and a restrained color palette, so many pieces can be coordinated, be it in one child’s outfit or from one sibling to another. It is certainly one of the things I like most about Marie Puce, along with the great attention to detail and finishing touches on each garment.

A lot of cute and stylish accessories are also available to complement your kids’ looks, from hair bows and scarves to iPad covers and pencil cases. There is a little something to be found for everyone! You can even find bath towels with beautiful liberty prints at Marie Puce!

Anne and Camille also created a delicate perfume that perfectly captures the personality of their brand. Manufactured in Grasse, France’s capital of perfume, it has just the right amount of fresh versus flowery scents, making it a balanced fragrance, perfect for all little girls and their mamas. The perfume was also turned into a candle if you want to give your home a little olfactory twist.
