Last week we waited patiently for the rain to stop so we could pay a visit to the pumpkin patch here on the island. We threw on as many layers as we could find (we’re still living out of suitcases filled with summer clothing, so we’re getting creative with our layering skills!) and headed to the farm. I grew up going to the pumpkin patch every October in preparation for Halloween, so it was fun to give the kids this very American experience.
Michael and I explained to the kids how to pick the perfect pumpkin, which hilariously we had different opinions about. I suggested finding perfectly round, small pumpkins (easy for them to carve), while Michael suggested they find the oddest, most irregular ones — the ‘uglier’ the better. Haha! Marlow took my advice and chose the perfect one. : )
Marlow is wearing a merino wool jumper from Knit Planet, which I think is SO cute with its dropped shoulders, shorter sleeves and boxy shape. Like all the knitwear from Knit Planet, it’s machine washable, anti-pilling and guaranteed not to shrink. A great jumper for every season! Knit Planet is also adding a few select pieces for women (including the Chubby T jumper) to their collection next month, so keep an eye out for those.
