The Quince Tree Cafe at Clifton Nurseries – A perfect Brunch spot

Nestled between a row of terraced houses down a quiet residential street in Little Venice, is London’s oldest garden centre – Clifton Nurseries. It’s one of those quirky London treasures that is so well hidden, you could live your whole life in London never knowing it was there.

Venture through the gates and not only will you discover a rambling oasis of beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs and pot plants but you will also find The Quince Tree. Far from a run of the mill garden centre cafe, this tranquil spot is a culinary hidden gem and a firm brunch favourite amongst locals.

The Quince Tree is housed inside a bright but cosy greenhouse, making it a perfect year round venue. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is cheerful. Everything from the light pouring in through the windows, colourful umbrellas suspended from the ceiling and views of the surrounding flowers, guarantee to brighten up even the greyest day.

The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From 9am- 5.30pm Monday through Saturday and from 10am – 4pm on Sundays. If you are heading there for brunch you’ll find enticing dishes such as ‘the scrumper’ smashed avocado, poached eggs, field mushrooms, tomato hummus and sweet chilli on rye bread, delicious! There are also plenty of kid friendly options on the menu such as pancakes, a variety of eggs soups and sandwiches.

Parking can be tricky around this neighbourhood as it is a predominantly residential area but Warrick Street Tube station is only a few minutes walk away.
