Florence is learning to read now in school and it’s really interesting to see how she is taking a different perspective with books. She’s independently choosing picture books so she can try and read them herself and she’s so proud of her new (nearly acquired) skill. Over the weekend she read a little stack of books to us but one particular one which caught her eye and that she read over and over again was “Pass It On” by Sophy Henn.
Now it’s no secret that I’m a Sophy Henn fan so when Florence began to carry this book tucked under her arm wherever she went it was a delight to see she has the same feelings about Henn’s books as I do.
“Pass It On” is a truly joyful book. It’s about a little carefree girl who wakes in the morning and through her simple adventures during the day she finds happiness in all that she does. Her quest is to pass that happiness on to others around her so everyone feels as good as her.
The characters on each page are uplifting and the colours are eye-catchingly brilliant. You can’t help love this book and you also can’t help pass that love on to others. Reading this book together bought a lot of cheer to our home and I love how Florence immediately began her own little quest of passing her feelings on!
If you want to feel good and make others happy too, this light-hearted colourful book, “Pass It On’, is available from all good bookstores and online from amazon (US) and (UK).
