Can we talk about that awkward transition that happens with your wardrobe when you go from pregnant to breastfeeding? All the comfortable, beautiful dresses you might have worn in pregnancy no longer work for breastfeeding because you’d have to pull them all the way up and over your boobs, revealing everything below to anyone within sight. When Wilkie was born, the breastfeeding-friendly options in my closet made up about 5% of the pieces hanging on the rack. Suddenly I was left with 3 or 4 pieces that fit and allowed for easy boob access!
This is why I love the concept behind Boob. The clothing is designed to be worn during pregnancy, but is made with clever hidden openings for easy access to your boobs making them breastfeeding-friendly once your baby is born.
Esther and I first discovered the Boob brand at the Playtime trade show in Paris four years ago. We were both carrying our babies, Marlow and Casper, in slings as we walked around browsing the different collections. We reached the maternity section toward the end of the show and when we stumbled upon Boob, we knew we had found something different.
Not only is the nursing-friendly clothing at Boob comfortable and functional, but it’s made from 100% sustainable, organic materials. The clothing is smart, stylish and safe for the environment and your baby, ticking all the right boxes.
I also love that Boob offers a one-stop shop for all your breastfeeding needs. Not only can you find pretty dresses and tops, but there’s a wide collection of nursing underwear and accessories. They even have an activewear collection with breastfeeding sports bras and comfy leggings. I personally love the Fast Food nursing bras and the merino wool nursing singlet.
In the photos above, I’m wearing the pretty Alicia Dress in burnt olive and the long wrap dress. Both pieces are super comfortable and allow for easy and discreet breastfeeding.
