The Hoxton, Paris

The brand new beautiful Hoxton Hotel, Paris opened in the 2nd arrondissement just a few weeks ago. It is set in an 18th century hotel particulier (a.k.a. gorgeous Parisian houses owned by one family back in time) and is the biggest Hoxton in the series up to date.

After entering the hotel and passing the double-height lobby with its magnificent original spiral staircase, the beautiful and inviting courtyard awaits. From the moment you set foot in The Hoxton, Paris you will notice the cosy and relaxed yet very French and sophisticated atmosphere. It is the perfect mix between old and new, classic and laid-back.

The hotel has 172 bedrooms, starting at very affordable prices, like the shoebox room for 99 euros per night. It is the best option for traveling solo or as a couple on a budget. Roomier options are available for families. Cribs will be provided for babies or toddlers and upholstered benches make for comfortable beds for bigger kids. Some of the rooms have a garden view and/or can enjoy sharing the cute courtyard of the hotel, divided in individual terrace spaces. There are also three attic rooms on the 4th floor from which you can see the Eiffel Tower (a loo with a view!).

Usual Hoxton perks come with each room: free water, WiFi, one hour of free calls to anywhere in the world, a mini fridge for you to stock from the reception shop with local products at supermarket prices, and a light breakfast bag drop delivered to your door.

The intimate Jacques’ Bar is accessed by the other original spiral staircase in the oldest part of the building. Its cosy and exotic design was inspired by Jacques Majorelle and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens in Marrakech. Award-winning cocktail experts designed the drinks menu with a Moroccan twist.

The atmospheric restaurant, Rivié, embraces the style of a French brasserie with a modern twist. Key design features include timber panelling, marble-topped bars, distressed plastered walls and cosy banquette seating. The simple seasonal menu offers all-day French-inspired dishes made of the best local ingredients. It is served throughout the hotel main areas (restaurant, bar, courtyard and lobby) and available from 7:00 AM to midnight. Power outlets are available throughout the restaurant to charge your phone or computer if you wish to work from there.

One of the spaces I really liked is the so-called Orangerie and its huge green wall full of lush plants in every shade of green. It really feels like an oasis in the middle of Paris. The beautiful orange velvet armchairs from French brand Honoré make for the cosiest spot to enjoy a cup of tea with views on the courtyard.

To put it shortly, the Hoxton, Paris has it all! Beautiful design features in a historical French building, attention to every detail in your room, top class restaurant and bar, cosy indoor and outdoor lounging spaces, all of which ideally located in the center of the city. The hotel is in easy walking distance of all the sights — Le Louvre, Musée d’Orsay, Jardin des Tuileries and Le Centre Pompidou — and a stone’s throw from the pretty streets of Le Marais.

Let us know if you book a room! You will love the experience for sure!
