Stay and Bird, organic sweatshirts with sweet illustrations

As I’m writing this, I hear the wind howling outside and the rain is coming down in buckets from the sky. It seems that autumn is upon us here in Amsterdam! Even though I love summer (I find it by far the easiest season), I also like the specific characteristics of the other seasons. (Even though I would prefer winter to be considerable shorter: spring may start immediately after New Year as far as I’m concerned!)

Anyway, wind and rain and autumn in general make me look forward to long forest walks. We love to collect pretty coloured leaves and nuts, and bring them home for crafting activities and to decorate with. It also makes me think of these sweet organic sweatshirts by Stay and Bird, with beautiful illustrations on the front and on the back. All inspired by nature and the outdoors!

I met the founders of Stay and Bird, Naomi and Laura, in London earlier this year and they were so sweet to send me back to Amsterdam with a little yellow snail and lettuce sweatshirt for Casper. He loves wearing it — it has a cool ‘retro’ shape and the colour is very deep and pretty. I also like the fact that it is made in Europe following the highest ethical and ecological standards of production. Plus it’s unisex, which we like too.
