Tips for decorating a teen girl’s bedroom from Bodie and Fou

My friend Karine from the cool concept store Bodie and Fou got in touch last week to share her recent before-and-after renovation project of her daughter, Mila’s bedroom. Mila is the same age as my eldest (and she’s also really into surfing!) so it’s always interesting for me to see the girl version of twelve years old. (I often marvel at how grown-up Mila seems compared to Easton — perhaps the difference between girls and boys at that age? A topic for another day maybe…)

Anyway, I love Karine’s style — I’ve always felt she has such a modern, minimalist decor style, all the while maintaining her ‘Frenchness’ with an effortless knack for accessorising. The way she’s decorated Mila’s room is no different. I love what she’s done with it, and thought it would be fun to share with you here for teen bedroom inspiration. I love how she’s incorporated Mila’s passion for surfing and travel into the decor.
