Splendom Suites

Perfectly located in the Eixaple district of Barcelona is this all encompassing family aparthotel called Splendom Suites. Although the interiors are not the type I’d pick for my home, it still has a homely feel to it, and most importantly was set up by an avid traveler family. Meaning they know how to organise things to make your life a little easier.

The rooms are cosy, and have large closet space, the family suit with two bed rooms, has two double bed bedrooms, a large pull out couch and a cot for a little one, as well as an open plan kitchen and livingroom, and a terrace.

What I like most about this aparthotel is the services it has to make things run as smoothly as possible for you. You can borrow from them (for free) strollers, high chairs, toys, bathtubs (for babies), food processors, and the list goes on! So you don’t have to think about traveling with all the stuff which can make the traveling part a little harder, but your stay a lot more comfortable. Splendom suits have paired with a babysitting company so you can plan a nice dinner out when you are in Barcelona (and trust me the list of nice romantic restaurants is endless!) They even have a cooperation with one of the local supermarkets, so you can order your shopping online and have the pantry and fridge filled with food so that when you arrive you don´t have to think about going to the store. This is particularly helpful if you are arriving late at night and need breakfast for the morning or a snack when you touch down. Even so Splendom offers breakfast baskets for those who prefer to do their shopping once they’ve arrived…

Prices vary per season, but the rooms are very affordable especially considering everything you get in return, varying between €70pn and €300pn.
